Delicious chocolate frozen yogurt loaded with protein

Praesent dictum diam

So as part of this life change I've been playing around with different, healthier snacks that are high in protein. I know plain greek yogurt is already high in protein and good for you, but plain yogurt is just disgusting by itself. It occurred to me that I could maybe make chocolate pudding using plain greek yogurt as the base ingredient. With that I set off to refine.

I really only came here for the recipe, get to it please!

It took a bit of trial and error but this is where I've currently netted out:

Combine all of these ingredients in a bowl and with a spoon stir things up thoroughly. As the protein and cocoa powder are super fine, stir carefully at first otherwise it will make a mess. You will need to stir for a good minute or two to really mix things up correctly.

Wait a minute, the title says frozen yogurt, what gives?

Well the beauty of this recipe is that it can be used to make chocolate pudding or chocolate frozen yogurt. Take the recipe above, prepare everything and then stick it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes (you'll have to play with the duration to find a time that works best for you). For me 12 minutes results in a thick but not too frozen consistency. I tend to enjoy pudding during the day and frozen yogurt before bed.

Be warned, if you leave this in the freezer for too long you will end up with a frozen mess that you will not be able to enjoy until it softens. I've not been able to find a frozen yogurt recipe that does not require real sugar (apparently the sugar is what keeps the yogurt from freezing up).

If you give this recipe a shot and like it let me know in the comments below. If you make any modifications I'd like to know that too – variety is a good thing.
