So as of late, on nights after I've hit the gym, my current favorite bedtime snack has been a chocolate protein shake that also has some peanut butter (more protein and tasty too) and a handful of blueberries. Without further ado, here is the recipe:

  • 12 ounces of Almond milk
  • 1 scoop of your preferred chocolate protein powder (for me this is ProJym Chocolate Cookie Crunch)
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup of frozen blueberries
  • 3-6 ice cubes

  • Optional additions:
    • 1-2 tablespoons of whole milk plain greek yogurt (again, more protien)

Combine all of these in your blender or "bullet" device (I use my NutriBullet) and blend for 60-90 seconds (or until you get the consistency you want). The more blueberries you include the more your smoothie will turn bluish purple.

That's it, a delicious bedtime snack to feed your muscles all night long.
